Folly Farm
Today we have been to Folly Farm which is about 30 minutes from the barn. It was sunny but cold, with a biting wind. We got there about 11am, not really knowing what to expect. We weren't disappointed as there was so much to do! There is a children's farm with goats, sheep etc.and events in the barn such as feeding and milking the goats. Then there is a small zoo - saw some zebras and llama! There is a play area both inside and outside and finally there is an indoor funfair. We had lunch next to the indoor funfair (gave us an excuse to warm up).
James and Ben loved the indoor funfair and we went on a number of rides including the carosel and the jets (very scary for mummy!). They also spent ages playing on a number of outdoor climbing frames - great fun! There were two wooden climbing frames and then, in a different area, some wooden pirate ships! We even had a walk around the zoo (while Benny had a snooze) and saw the fam animals too. We didn't leave until 5ish so it was a very full day!
